Robin Gibb è stato dimesso dall'ospedale di Oxford, dove era stato ricoverato d'urgenza domenica in seguito a forti dolori addominali. Adesso è a casa e starà a riposo. "sembra in piena ripresa ed è a casa a recuperare la forma", ha dichiarato un portavoce di Robin. Robin è stato costretto a rinviare il suo tour in Brasile, che prevedeva cinque concerti.

Robin Gibb Released From Hospital

Bee Gees star Robin Gibb has been released from hospital after he was admitted with abdominal pains on Sunday morning (03.04.11).

Robin Gibb is recuperating at home after being released from hospital.

The 61-year-old Bee Gees star was taken ill on Sunday morning (03.04.11) with abdominal pains and was rushed to hospital to undergo tests but he has now returned to his house in Oxfordshire, England.

A spokesman for the singer said: "He looks like he's making a full recovery and he is at home recuperating."

Robin's hospitalisation meant he was forced to cancel a series of Brazilian concerts, including performances in Sao Paolo and Brasilia, as doctors warned him not to travel until they had fully diagnosed the problem.

Last year, Robin underwent surgery for a blocked intestine - the same condition which led to the death of his twin brother and Bee Gees bandmate Maurice in 2003.

Robin had experienced discomfort while performing in Belgium and his wife Dwina encouraged him to go to hospital for tests. Shortly after scans he was told to prepare for emergency surgery.

He later recalled: "It was a shock. I'd been expecting to go home but instead I was told my intestine could burst at any time and I could be dead within half an hour."

With the Bee Gees, which also included elder brother Barry, Robin has enjoyed five decades of chart hits including the group's '70s disco tracks such as 'Night Fever' and 'Stayin' Alive'.
